Poem for Today
Drilling holes in berry bowlsIs my idea of fun.I drill them by the dozenUntil the job is done.Mixing glazesMy spirit raisesEven when it rains.I scoop the copperFrom the hopperAnd ponder things arcane. The wheel it turns;
I spin out urnsFor beloved pets.Next come mugsand little jugsto hold your dark secrets. Perhaps a potter shouldn't tryto spin out words of rhyme; My mind, it works in funny ways while my hands work overtime.
